How Shared Spotlight started
Shared Spotlight was started by two Ashleys—one from Business Builder and one from Clean Slate Solutions.
Through Business Builder's Spotlight Monday series, Ashley Donovan was already helping introduce local companies and share the stories behind them. The idea for Shared Spotlight grew from a desire to make that support bigger, more collaborative, and available to more businesses.
As the owner of Clean Slate Solutions, Ashley understood how valuable genuine local relationships and word-of-mouth support can be when building a business.
Together, they created Shared Spotlight: a place where local businesses can connect, support one another, and create more visibility together.
“We did not want another space where businesses felt like they were competing for attention. We wanted to create a place where sharing someone else's success helps the entire community grow.”
